A hybrid computing environment is one of the obvious consequences widely used computers. Cooperation of a personal mobile computer and shared pre-installed computers is an important issue in the environment.
HyperPalette system is a highly integrated computing environment. 3D sensors are installed in the environment and also attached to the user's PDA, so that the PDA can act as a flexible interaction device for the computerized table. The user can transfer data between the PDA and computerized table by using a specific operation on his/her PDA, and use new interaction techniques, such as scoop-and-spread. The user can also grab and move an object on the table by using the PDA.
