Thanks to computers our lives have become much more convenient. However, their most profound impact is still yet to be seen.
Sparked by innovations in the interface between the human hand and computers, the role of computation in our world has steadily expanded, which will eventually lead to reconstructions of the myriad institutions making up our society.
Through this process the design of every artifact (whether real or virtual) will inevitably go through drastic changes, just as the introduction of mass production technology has given rise to the concept of modern design 150 years ago.
My interest lies precisely in bringing about those changes.
Currently I am studying the design of computer systems which can adapt to the user's life and alter their forms in amoeba-like ways.
