[altq 1153] Re: ECN implementation

Hi,

A couple of months sound a little bit long to me. Could you
explain briefly what are the issues with the current (or old?)
ECN implementation in ATLQ?

I wouldn't mind doing the implementation myself but would like
to avoid duplicate effort if possible. And I'm only interested
in having ECN in FreeBSD 4.3.

I've implemented the PI controller [1] and Gentle RED [2] in the
framework of ALTQ. Although these AQM schemes don't require
end systems to be ECN capable, I thought it would be interesting
to see how AQMs perform when end systems are ECN capable.
