You could try to use JoBS with the following setup:
- two separate buffers
- one buffer for non-kazaa traffic, which gets like 90% of your bandwidth
(you can also configure a delay bound on it if you see fit),
- one buffer for kazaa traffic, which gets 10% of your bandwidth, and has
absolutely no service guarantee
I have never tried JoBS for that kind of stuff, which is obviously more
an isolation problem than a QoS problem, but in theory, it should work.
I am interested in knowing if practice confirms theory. Now, how you
discriminate between kazaa and non-kazaa packets may be a headache,
judging from the part of your post I snipped, and on that, I cannot help
since I'm not familiar with the protocol itself. (After the fiasco of my
last post, I've decided to stick to what I'm sure of :)
