I've a few questions on altq. I'm using the Cobalt (mips variant) port of
NetBSD 1.6.1
and I see that altq appears to be "all there" except for the /dev entries.
There is an altq directory in /dev but it's empty. Hence, altqd fails with
the message -- "altqd: can't open altq device: No such file or directory".
This may be a dumb question, but does anyone know how I can make the altq
devices? I've tried to MAKEDEV altq but it reports altq: unknown device.
I've asked the NetBSD folks about this and there seems to be some question
about wether altq supports the cobalt architecture or if/why it would be
architecture specific. Again the altq software is there... altqd,
altqstat, man pages, everything is compiled and working in the default
install. I'm just missing the /dev entries.
Thanks in advance,
