Tadashi Morita

Believing DC to be more efficient for renewable energy production, transmission, storage and consumption, Morita has devoted himself to implementing DC systems. His current research addresses issues of mitigating risks of electrocution and arcing, and seeks to induce a paradigm shift away from existing electronics products. He has created a technology that allows independent devices to exchange precise amounts of electricity with other designated devices. Morita believes that in the near future the value of electricity will be determined by trade in "electric points," and therefore these functions will need to be accompanied by enhanced privacy and security features. Drawing on his experience in FeliCa development, Morita is working to develop systems that will promote energy-saving behavior while ensuring user security.
