【Supporting Researchers Get from 0 to 1, or Get Quickly from 1 to 10】
Over the more than 30 years since its founding, Sony CSL has undertaken its work under the same guiding principles. "Carry out research for the future of humanity." "Let individual researchers carry out the research they truly want to do." Meanwhile, I believe that for a laboratory to support the research done there, the space of the lab itself, its operations, and the roles of its staff must always change with the times.
What sort of lab space would be ideal for Sony CSL to continue to strive to contribute to society and humankind with its research, and to disseminate research results as real-world solutions? How should it be run? What should its staff be doing? I would like to explore those questions at the newly established site in Kyoto.
