[Article] Paper by Yusuke Sakai et al. Presented at eCAADe 2026
A paper by Yusuke Sakai et al., titled “Reconfigurability of Auxetic Bending-Active Formwork Systems for Circular Construction,” was presented at eCAADe 2026, an international conference on education and research in computer-aided architectural design.
The study builds on the previously proposed Auxetic Bending-Active Gridshell (ABAG) formwork system, which uses 3D-printed TPU modules, and investigates methods for reconfiguring and reusing the system in different shapes.
