[INFO] Hiroaki Kitano and Jun Rekimoto Listed in Stanford–Elsevier’s “Top Scientists Explorer”

Hiroaki Kitano, President and CEO, and Jun Rekimoto, Senior Fellow, have been listed in the “Top Scientists Explorer,” a researcher database by Stanford University and Elsevier.

The “Top Scientists Explorer” is a database of researchers whose career-long research impact places them among the top 2% in their respective scientific subfields. In the Information & Communication Technologies field, Kitano is ranked 2nd and Rekimoto 7th among researchers in Japan. Both are listed in the Artificial Intelligence & Image Processing subfield of Information & Communication Technologies.

The database is based on the August 2025 update of the “Updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators” by Elsevier / Ioannidis et al. Researchers are evaluated using a composite indicator that combines multiple metrics, including citation counts and the h-index.
