A Comment Article by Hiroaki Kitano, President and CEO, Vittorio Loreto, Research Director (Sony CSL – Rome), Milena Di Canio (Sony CSL – Rome), and artist and musician Filippo Gregoretti, entitled “From environmental sensing to societal listening,” has been published in Nature Sensors. The article was also selected as the cover feature of the September 2026 issue of the journal.

Ulysses’ Gates, the artwork that helped inspire the paper, was exhibited at this year’s Venice Biennale.
